The King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence chose El Husseini as a member of the Security Council

His  King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain , appointed His Eminence the scholar Mohamad Ali El Husseini as a member of the Board of Trustees  

the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence, in view of his scientific stature and the value of his innocence, in addition to his experience in the field of dialogue and building bridges with followers of different religions and cultures, and the great efforts that he has made. His Eminence is making efforts to confront the rhetoric of violence and hatred, confront extremist thought, and devote him to a centrist and moderate approach, to the discourse of love and the values ​​of tolerance, and to activate the language of dialogue and openness with religions.

The appointment of El Husseini constitutes a practical gain and added scientific value within the framework of the work of the Center, which achieves its goals and vision as a reward for consecrating peace and coexistence between different sects and religions, and for promoting the culture of dialogue and civilizational interaction among peoples.
